Americans want leadership that is clear headed. We yearn for leaders with courage, and the moral compass, to do what is right, even if it is unpopular. The Progressive Left (PL) has unleashed a dangerous game of whack-a-mole on the American people in an effort to gain power. Their plan is to overwhelm us with insane thoughts, policies, and programs, in an effort to completely frustrate us. As we whack down one insane idea over here, another insane idea pops up over there. In just the last 18 months think of what we have witnessed. The PL got fully behind Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM) movements. These two groups went city by city burning, looting, and assaulting law abiding citizens. Billions of dollars in damage and theft went nearly unopposed by law enforcement. Democrat leaders in these cities and states ordered their law enforcers to “stand down” while the rioting continued. The 4 day Democratic Presidential Convention was held in August of 2020. America was burning throughout those 4 days, and not a single peep about the destruction from any of the speakers. Sounds like tacit approval to me. This insanity was then followed by a Democrat led movement to “defund the police”. Sadly, the people who are at greatest risk of a depleted police force are minority populations in inner cities! For that reason one would have expected BLM to protest against defunding the police. Instead they were in favor of the defunding. Perhaps the group should be called SBLM. ‘Some’ Black Lives Matter seems to be more accurate. How sane were Democrat mayors who were releasing criminals at the same time they were firing police officers? While this craziness was occurring some Democrat mayors and prosecuting attorneys said they would not prosecute theft if the amount of goods stolen was less than $950, or some other magic number. It is not unusual to see videos of thieves going through stores with calculators to be sure they don’t steal more than that amount. Whom among us could have imagined any of the above happening in our country 10 years ago?

Corporations rushed to donate huge checks to BLM. In their mission statement BLM stated they wanted to defund the police. They also wanted to get rid of the nuclear family. The two parent family, BLM’s Marxist leaders opined, was evil and had to be abolished. Only in an upside down world would corporations be giving large donations to groups espousing those goals. How can defunding the police, and getting rid of the traditional family unit, create any benefit to corporations? They are so frightened by these two thuggish groups that they hope their contributions will convince BLM, and Antifa, to leave them alone. The sane among us understand that this kind of bribery won’t protect corporations from being eaten by these groups. It just means they’ll be eaten last! I’ll not take any of your time talking about Antifa. They are anarchistic thugs who simply want to destroy everything. They are nothing more than cowardly a**holes.

Our First Amendment rights have never been under greater assault. Conservative speakers are banned from presenting their ideas on college campuses. College students are ostracized, even punished, by professors for stating opinions contrary to those of their own. Because of the “cancel culture” people from every walk of life are afraid to speak their minds. Utterances that disagree with the PL have actually resulted in the loss of employment! Banishment from social media is routine. Freedom of religion was completely revoked for many months. States actually shut down our right to congregate for worship. People were arrested for getting together outside in the parking lots of their places of worship. One needn’t be a constitutional scholar to understand that was illegal. It didn’t matter. The PL has always viewed the Constitution as a nuisance when it doesn’t agree with their point of view. The only reason the press/media didn’t find themselves under attack was because they are in the pocket of the Progressive Left. The majority of Americans sat silently by as statues of historic people and events were torn down or defaced. We were told that the statues were racist. It was proven to be a guise when monuments to Abraham Lincoln, and Frederick Douglass, were included in the destruction. The groups doing the destruction have no reason for their destruction other than destruction. I couldn’t have imagined any of the above happening in America just 10 years ago.

Our President said he would not mandate vaccinations. He lied! Just this week, vaccination mandates were announced by the President. The United States government has created 2 classes of people. The vaccinated and the unvaccinated. Unimaginable. If you work for a corporation that has more than 100 employees you must be vaccinated, or get tested at least weekly, to keep your job. To feed your family. Really? In America? Nurses were, and in my view still are, heroes ever since COVID arrived. They worked every day, face to face, with known COVID patients. Since vaccinations became mandatory many of these heroes are losing their jobs. How can heroes become villains in days? Patients waiting for organ transplants are being removed from waiting lists because they are unvaccinated. What? A judge temporarily took a mother’s custody of her child away from her because she was unvaccinated. In America? How can this be true? Our government requires citizens to wear masks and be vaccinated. At the same time, that same government, buses and flies illegals to cities all over the country. We have no clue if they have been vaccinated. They could have COVID for all we know. Given contradictions like this it is no wonder the American people don’t take their leaders very seriously. Democrats say they follow the science. The science clearly shows that children should have been in school for well over a year. Kids don’t typically get, or carry, the virus. When they do get it they are rarely hospitalized. They almost never die. Most were kept out of school anyway, missing at least a year of education they can never replace.

The PL lives in a delusionary world. Some educators are now calling for the whitewashing of the 9/11/2001 tragedy. They want to stop mentioning the Islamic connection. It is racist and promotes Islamophobia they say. You know what I say? Tough! Facts are facts. We never stopped blaming the Japanese for Pearl Harbor, even though Japan has become one of our closest allies. It is what it is. They say they follow the science, yet they continue to tell us there are more than 2 sexes. I don’t care if some men think they are women. I do care when they demand that I, and others, play along. I do care that teachers are getting fired for not acceding to those delusional wishes. Next we are told they want to unite us. Then they cram Critical Race Theory (CRT) down our throats in K-12 schools. I don’t understand how calling innocent white children irredeemable racists, and innocent black children hopeless victims, benefits either. And it is insane to imagine this sort of ideology will bring us together. It takes years for immigrants to become American citizens, legally. If the PL gets its way it will wave a magic wand and make citizens out of illegal aliens overnight. The PL believes that people who never owned slaves, or knew anyone who did, should give their hard earned savings to people who have never been, or knew anyone who was, a slave. People who get caught cheating to get into college go to jail. People who sneak into the country illegally go to college free. Congress thinks that people who never went to college should be forced to forfeit part of their paychecks to pay the debt of those who did. The PL thinks it is un-American, even racist, for the American census to count only Americans who are in America. This paragraph is absolutely insane.

This is NOT the America we know, or want. But it is the America in which we will be forced to live if we continue to be sheep. In fact, if we allow the Progressive Left to get away with the above, things will assuredly get worse. As I have said in other blog postings, Liberal Democrats, and the Progressive Left, are two distinctly different creatures. Progressives want to destroy everything American. They don’t like anything about it. The liberals I know agree that most of the nuttiness I have written above is reprehensible. Liberals and conservatives must figure out how to work together to defeat the ideology that pushes for the above craziness. You cannot win a war if you don’t know who your enemy is. I’m telling you that the Progressive Left is the enemy of every American who believes that this country is worth saving.
