The Biden administration and the Department of Homeland Security, under the direction of Alejandro Mayorkas, continue to set new records. Unfortunately for us, the records I am referring to make our lives more expensive and dangerous. On 12/5/23, an estimated 12,000 illegal immigrants entered our country. That is an all time record for a single day. That is just the latest in a growing list of negative records achieved at our southern border. According to U.S. Customs & Border Protection (USCBP) statistics, more than 340,000 people came into the U.S. illegally in September of 2023. That is a 1 month record. According to the USA Today an estimated 2.8 million people crossed our southern border illegally in fiscal year 2023. That is a 1 year record. (The government’s fiscal year is October through September). There were 568 illegal immigrant deaths recorded in fiscal year 2022. The most going back to 1998.

In his testimony on Tuesday to the Senate Judiciary Committee, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that, concerning terrorist threats, he “sees red lights everywhere.” Why is that? What follows are certainly reasons that red lights might be flashing. The USCBP estimates that there has been 1.5 million “gotaways” since Joe Biden took office. They are people we were not able to catch. It is important to remember that the vast majority of those crossing our borders illegally report immediately to a member of law enforcement. They know they will be processed, then released, into the interior of the U.S. Why did 1.5 million illegals decide to cross the border and flee from law enforcement? Is there a reason these people don’t want to go through processing? In fiscal year 2023, federal law enforcement agents apprehended a record 172 people who were listed on the FBI terror watch list. That is 10 times the number apprehended in fiscal year 2021. How many of the 1.5 million “gotaways” are on that list? The next time terrorists attack our homeland, resulting in who knows how much death and destruction, it will be the direct result of Joe Biden’s refusal to enforce current laws pertaining to illegal immigration. Don’t forget that it took just 19 terrorists to complete the evil 9/11 attacks on innocent Americans.

The impact that 10-25 million illegal immigrants are having on the well-being of American citizens can be seen in one case study. In August of last year, N.Y. City Mayor, Democrat Eric Adams, showed up at a photo-op at the NY Port Authority. He smiled while shaking the hands and welcoming a busload of illegal immigrants to his “sanctuary city”. What a difference a year makes. The State of NY City’s Economy and Finances report estimated it would take $1 billion a year through 2026 to cover housing, education, food, and other expenses, to care for illegal immigrants. Earlier this week Mayor Adams said the drain on his city’s resources to care for illegals may force him to cut funding for the police, fire department, sanitation, and libraries. He has been begging for help from the federal government. He has warned that, if he doesn’t get financial help, the influx of 150,000 illegal immigrants will ruin his city.

Apart from having to wait longer for a response from the police and fire departments, and trash pickup being completed on a very sporadic basis, how else have NY residents been affected? Many residents fear for their safety as Mayor Adams considers evicting single male immigrants from government migrant housing onto the streets after housing them for 2 months. Hotels have been emptied of tourists in lieu of illegals, paid for by the government. NYC streets are beginning to resemble the homeless streets of LA and San Francisco.

The NY Post reported on a 94 year old Army veteran, along with 53 other citizens, who were removed from their senior living residences on Staten Island. The Army veteran had been a resident for 5 years. He, and the other residents, were given less than 2 months to find other accommodations. They were told the building was to be sold, but 2 months later it was converted into a migrant center. The migrant center is planning to house 113 migrant families. One can imagine how nervous neighbors might be about 113 migrant families replacing a more quiet retirement community. It can’t help but be less safe for citizens.

Director Wray mentioned a couple of things that may be reasons for red lights to be flashing everywhere. He never hinted at any of the above. That should silence those who claim the FBI isn’t tainted with politics. The #1 obligation of the President of the United States is to ensure the safety and well-being of U.S. citizens. We might excuse a President who had policies that weren’t working. This President isn’t even trying. What is happening on our southern border is no accident. It is criminal. It is part of the plan to change the demographics of this great nation forever. Biden, and his Democrat cronies, must be replaced in 2024 if there is any hope of putting Americans ahead of foreigners in this nation.I hope you found my latest addition informative.
