Those on the Progressive Left have controlled our government for a very long time. I am not suggesting their leaders hold uninterrupted political power. That is clearly not the case. By the end of Joe Biden’s first term, Republicans and Democrats will have controlled the White House an equal number of years since the year 2000. Both have held control of the House of Representatives and/or the Senate a relatively equal amount of time. In the opinion of this American citizen, they have both failed us.
President Obama’s statement that he would ” . . . fundamentally transform the United States of America”, appears to be increasingly accurate. One should ask why the greatest nation on earth needed to be “fundamentally transformed”. We should have demanded to know what he intended to “fundamentally transform” our country into. We should have suspected that in order to fundamentally transform the most successful country in the world we would be forced to forfeit many of our freedoms and beliefs. Indeed, we are witnessing the dismantling of the principles and values that have heretofore made us the envy of the world.
It is time that freedom loving American patriots recognize that our struggle is NOT Right vs Left. It is NOT Conservative vs. Liberal. Our struggle IS right vs, wrong. It IS truth vs. fantasy. Yes, it IS good vs. evil. We must make our voices heard at the ballot box. Just as important, it is time for us to vote with our feet, and our pocketbooks. Making our voices heard in the voting booth, at government schools, or at those places of business we frequent will not cost us a penny.
We have witnessed our collective power as we continue to take control of school boards across the country. The “woke” school administrators, teachers, and board members, are being reminded who the customer is. And it isn’t the far Left teacher’s unions. If you care about the well-being of your children and grandchildren go online and search: parent groups fighting CRT. You’ll find a list of groups that are fighting for our kids. Find those closest to you and join, promote, or support them. Bitching around the coffee table at the donut shop will achieve zero results.
Many of us, myself included, are surprised by the impact our boycott is having on Anheuser Busch (AB), specifically Bud Lite. The brand has seen a 20-30% loss in sales since its idiotic foray into the world of queerness. Shareholders have lost billions of dollars holding AB stock. AB has backpedaled and squirmed, almost weekly, trying to justify its terrible decision. AB customers should continue the boycott until the company issues an unequivocal apology and fires those responsible for the debacle. (By the way, shareholders should be doing the same thing). It is time for AB to either apologize, or double down and give its customers the finger, again.
We are currently witnessing another “Bud Lite” event going on at Target. The company chose to display its “pride” merchandise in the front of their stores to celebrate “Pride Month”. Reuters reports that Target’s “Pride Collection” includes over 2,000 items. Among them are “gender fluid mugs” and “Queer All Year” calendars. It also displays books for children aged 2-8 titled, “Bye, Bye, Binary”, “Pride 1, 2, 3”, and “I’m Not A Girl”. One of their products is a female swimsuit that features “tuck friendly” bottoms, that are designed to conceal male genitalia. (Clearly a hot item on the shopping list of the vast majority of American males). I am the first to acknowledge that Target is free to sell anything it chooses. I am also the first to say I won’t shop at a store that features such items that may be harmful to children.
Let’s not forget that we allowed Target to escape a previous decision that figuratively stuck their thumb in the eyes of the majority of its customers. In April of 2016, Target decided that men who identify as women were welcome to use restrooms and dressing rooms previously reserved for women. The company issued a statement that said in part: “We welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom, or fitting room facility, that corresponds with their gender identity.” Not surprisingly, multiple issues of voyeurism at Target stores were reported after the company’s decision to make everyone feel welcome was made public. Target has chosen to be a bad actor. They have decided to refute the long standing privacy standards and social mores of the American people. We must flex our consumer muscles and do our shopping elsewhere. That is not too much to ask! Let’s see how long they can remain profitable by selling only to the LGBTQ+ community.
We shouldn’t be surprised at the power we consumers wield. We’ve all heard the saying, money talks and b**ls**t walks. The victories we have enjoyed in schools, with consumer goods, and on athletic fields, are symbols of what can happen when a large majority of citizens decide to push back against evil. That push back must be sustained, or it will not have the desired lasting effect. We know the difference in right and wrong. Yet we allow the purveyors of wrong deeds to continue without consequences. We have the power, you and I, to continue to take back the country that we so love. So as to “fundamentally transform the USA”, President Obama rigged the levers of government by politicizing the IRS, the Department of Justice, and other key agencies. Our government has lost the ability to know right from wrong and therefore has lost the ability, and the inclination, to change direction. It will take a concerted effort from We the People to begin the arduous task of reclaiming our nation. We are the solution to the ever growing problems in education, big government, and big corporations. Pledge to never reelect any politician who won’t stand against something as clearly wrong as allowing boys to use girl’s locker rooms and to participate on girl’s athletic teams. Pledge to stop buying products from companies that disregard your values and whose marketing plans have the potential to cause harm to you and your family. Together, we can become part of the solution, instead of continuing to be part of the problem. The struggle to return our country to its traditional root values and principles is underway. We have an obligation to ourselves, and future generations, to continue the momentum we have started.
I hope you found this blog interesting, informative, and perhaps motivating. If so please share with your friends. Thank you for taking the time to read my writings. Bob
This time, you are Right. It’s not party lines or platforms….. taking the Right road takes courage, and we all should do it.
Flash,
What do you mean “this time”? Just kidding. The task ahead is difficult, yet simple. We simply need to get that large majority who agrees to quit being afraid of being called names. If just 50% of the majority would unite we would swamp those who wish to change our morals and values, even our very way of life. If we don’t get our heads out of the sand, and soon, our progeny are doomed to a desperate future.
Bob
Right on!
Vicki,
Thank you.
Bob
Very well written; are you still in FL or do you come to Michigan for the summer? Would you consider speaking at a Tea Party meeting if you’re in Michigan??!
Cathy,
We are home from Florida. I always enjoy presenting to Tea Party groups. Let’s find a date and get it done.
Thank you,
Bob
Thanks Bob. It is actually getting hard to keep up with the insanity of corporations picking sides of social issues that have nothing to do with their core mission. This week I’ve e-mailed a boycott-a-gram to the Dodgers and Angels for inviting a Catholic/Christian hate group to perform during their worship of a different religion, Wokealism. Imagine the outrage from the Wokeologists if the hate group was blaspheming Muslim Prophets or Jewish Rabbis by pole dancing and twerking to a baseball audience. Moral depravity is alive and well in the world of leftism. You would think by now even the leftists would recognize double standards. Assuming of course they have any standards at all.
Steve,
To say I am proud of you for taking action is an understatement. Yours is the kind of response we, the vast majority of Americans, MUST make. We simply have to let the corporate cowards understand that we mean business. They will only do so when we hit them right where it hurts, in their pocketbooks. We must be dogged in refusing to purchase their products and services until they get the message. CEOs compensation is typically driven by profits which are derived from sales. I have been vocal when addressing people about the need to punish those corporations who decide to “get out of their lanes” and push social agendas. I will continue to do so until my dying breath. I believe my children and grandchildren’s future depends on our actions today. Congratulations for taking the initiative. By the way, how do I sign your boycott-a-gram?
Thank you,
Bob
Very good Bob. Let’s have lunch sometime.
Steve,
I always enjoy lunch with people I respect. You are certainly one of those people. I should be relatively available through the summer. You can send me an email at [email protected], or give me a call at 964-4750, with your available dates. Let’s make it happen soon.
Bob
