Some Things To Ponder Before Casting Your Ballot

This is the last blog I will produce until after the election. Counting today, there are just 6 days until most Americans will know the direction their states, and our country will be going. (If you live in California, it may take another month before you know the direction of your state. That is what happens when you live in a state that is managed like some third world countries). It is time for those who care about the future of our country and preserving freedom for their children and grandchildren to stand up and make their voices be heard, regardless of political affiliation.

There are millions of registered Republicans who, for some unknown reason, don’t vote in midterm elections. They swarm like bees around a hive and vote for their candidates in Presidential elections, then they disappear for 4 years. Because of their absence Republican members of Congress get defeated in off-year elections. That means the President they elected has a more difficult time getting his policies through Congress. We are witnessing an octogenarian President delivering multiple speeches in multiple cities every day. He, and our country, desperately need them to show up and vote for him (Republicans) one last time. The least we can do, given his Herculean efforts, is to show up and vote. To not do so is utterly shameful. Republicans who stay home elect Democrats.

Just a couple of sentences for my Christian friends. Statistics show that just over 50% of us show up to vote. It was just 5 years ago that we saw our places of worship shuttered by Dems. The chances of our right to worship being infringed upon increase as the number of Dems. in Congress increase.

The groups that are on everybody’s radar are the Undecideds, Independents, and Moderate Democrats (UIMD). This group will ultimately decide the winners in next week’s election. It is because I believe the UIMDs love their country and their children as much as everyone else that I find it hard to understand their reticence in voting for Republicans. When we compare the facts, the decision is quite obvious. Let’s look at a few Trump and Biden facts and comparisons. I ask the UIMDs to carefully consider the following.

Democrats are claiming that Trump has created an affordability problem in the U.S. Elect us, they say, and we’ll fix that problem. A Google search isn’t required to refute that bogus claim. One need only the ability to remember the 4 years before Trump took office. Gasoline prices peaked at $5.01 per gallon under Biden. That’s what must happen when the government cancels pipeline projects, cancels drilling permits on federal land, and closes the refineries needed to convert crude oil into gasoline. Dems. want gas prices to go higher to force people onto public transportation and require us to buy EVs. Trump has reversed all of those policies and gas prices are currently between $4.25 and $4.50 per gallon, depending on where you live. Gas prices ARE too high. That is, in part, because of the war with Iran. For 50 years U.S. Presidents have warned of the evil that is Iran. The last 5 Presidents have warned that Iran must never be allowed to develop a nuclear bomb. (Obama and Biden gave Iran multiple billions of dollars with the pinky promise they wouldn’t do anything bad). Trump actually did something to stop the global threat of a nuclear Iran. So yes, gas prices are too high. But please, don’t be penny wise and pound foolish. A temporary rise in gas prices is worth making the world a safer place for future generations of Americans. It was Trump who had the courage to stop the Iranians. During the Biden years we saw inflation hit a 40 year high of 9%. The average rate of inflation during his presidency was over 5%. That is nearly double the 2.7% we’ve experienced in Trump’s first 2 years. When you look at the 10 most expensive states to live in right now, Dems. are in control of 9. It would be the first time in memory that Dems. actually made things more affordable.

“I can’t stand the orange man”, is a common refrain I hear from my UIMD friends. I get it. Trump can be an overbearing lout. As a mature patriotic adult, I am capable of looking past his boorish behavior to see the incredible results he has brought to Americans. What follows is a partial list of Trump’s accomplishments in less than 2 years. It is possible that you have forgotten some of these. If you get your news from the mainstream media, it is more likely that you were never told. Trump has completely stopped the influx of multiple millions of people entering our country illegally every year. Because he did, drug overdose deaths that were as high as 100,000 per year under Biden have dropped by more than 40%. There is no way to estimate the hundreds of billions of dollars we taxpayers will save because of those actions. His Executive Order to keep biological males out of female locker rooms and off of their K-12 athletic teams has led to 27 states passing laws enforcing it. He made it illegal to perform life altering, irreversible, sex change surgeries on minors. He got the largest tax cuts ever for the American people. His team has uncovered hundreds of billions of dollars in fraud and corruption in multiple locations in the U.S. Does any honest person believe they would have been discovered by any other administration? We now have no tax on tips, on overtime, or on social security. China was controlling both ends of the Panama Canal. They are now gone. We now have a permanent foothold in Greenland. That is incredibly important to our safety. He has negotiated trillions of dollars in new manufacturing in the U.S., funded by overseas multinational corporations. Americans are employed building new factories all over the country that will eventually be home to hundreds of thousands of high paying jobs for blue collar workers. His predecessors watched as factories closed and millions of good jobs went overseas. He has reduced the size of the federal government. (Hooray)! He supports law enforcement, parental rights, and requiring an ID to vote. I don’t care who you are, this is an impressive list. And he accomplished all of it in less than 2 years. If you vote for Democrats, you are voting for people who are against all of the above. High gas prices are temporary. Trump’s initiatives will shape our country for years to come. Don’t step over dollar bills to pick up pennies. If you think he has not fixed our problems fast enough, it seems moronic to elect the people who created the problems in the first place.

I hope I have provided enough information to encourage stay at home Americans to show up. I hope that listing the above will help the Undecideds and Independents vote for what is best for their country. The Moderate Democrats who vote for a Republican this cycle need to remember that vote doesn’t mean they are Republicans. If your hate for one man is greater than your love of your country and the future of your children, perhaps you are the problem.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. Bob
