American citizens are the winners of the most important lottery in the world. The life lottery. We should wake up every morning and thank God for allowing us to be born in the USA. We citizens recognize we are not perfect, but we continue to strive to be better. Meanwhile, with every passing year, our elected representatives seem to be more corrupt. But ultimately, we possess the wherewithal to check their corruption. They can be no more corrupt than we allow them to be.

We are not as free as we once were. But we are still more free than those living in other countries. We have the largest and most resilient economy in the world, and even after being decimated by Biden’s DEI mandates, our military is the most lethal force on the planet. We can go to sleep in the relative comfort that our military heroes are protecting us. We are being threatened by encroaching socialism. The greatest nation on earth was being dismantled from within.

For 12 of the last 16 years our country was being lead down a long, dark, dangerous, one-way street. We citizens whether we were busy, or apathetic, did little to protect or defend our liberties. All of a sudden it seemed that everywhere we looked, our norms and values were being turned upside down. The police were/are being defunded while criminals were/are arrested, processed, and released back into our communities. That is confusing, even alarming. Democrats shouted they were the party for women. Then they proceeded to allow boys into girl’s locker rooms and on school athletic teams designated for females. That reduced the opportunity for girls/women to succeed in girl’s/women’s sports. They would take away our right to carry a weapon. That has a more dire effect on women than men. A handgun may be the only thing that keeps a woman from becoming a rape victim. Actions speak louder than words. We sat on the largest oil, gas, and coal, reserves in the world while our leaders chose to import those resources from enemies who would prefer we were dead. That’s a head scratcher. We found pornographic books in our K-12 school libraries. That was the result of parental apathy. We knew it was wrong, but we did little to stop the sexual mutilation of confused minor children. Those performing the surgeries are violating one of the key tenets of medicine, “first do no harm”. We shamefully stood like deer in the headlights, afraid to raise our voices. Or worse, oblivious to what was going on around us.

All of the above, and others, changed last November. Our historical norms and values are returning thanks to the outspoken courage of President Trump. Between his Executive Orders, and the laws being passed by Republican members of Congress, things are returning to normal. His example fueled our courage to stand against those who would pervert our way of life. Males are now precluded from entering female locker and restrooms, or participating on school athletic teams created specifically for girls/women. I can’t speak for anyone else, but it is hard for me to believe we had to pass laws to make that happen. Criminal illegal aliens are finally being deported. The sanctuary cities/states that protect them are facing the loss of federal money if they stand in the way of federal law enforcement. At the same time those law enforcement agencies responsible for dealing with illegals are getting more money, manpower, and freedom to do their jobs. Trump is ridding our government of harmful Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), policies. They are being replaced by meritocracy, something that was at the core of the centuries long rise of the USA. Only the inept, or ideological morons, would be against this. We are beginning the process of producing more fossil fuels under the mantra of “drill baby drill”. That has resulted in lower gas and utilities prices for everyday Americans.

Our military has but one function. That is to kill those who would kill us. Some might consider that comment crass. No matter, the purpose of our military is no more complicated than that. I can imagine no institution where DEI is more dangerous. (Trump should fire every General who supported this nonsense. Every high-ranking member of the military who would knowingly threaten the lives of their soldiers and the future of their country should be forced to find employment elsewhere). Forcing DEI, and a woke agenda, on the military resulted in a couple of years when we didn’t achieve our recruiting goals. That also ended in January. Since Trump took office all branches of the military are setting recruiting records monthly. Patriots are once again lining up to defend our country.

For decades, Trump’s predecessors sat idly by and watched as foreign countries stole our high paying factory jobs and slapped punitive tariffs on products manufactured in the U.S. That also ended in January. Trump placed reciprocal tariffs on those countries who have been stealing from us for far too long. Can you imagine there are U.S. citizens who are angered by these actions. If, as the old saying goes, ignorance is bliss, these people must be the most blissful people on earth.

We have been providing military protection for countries (NATO) who promised to increase their defense budgets for many years. Then reneged. While foreign countries were stealing our jobs and keeping us from selling our products to them Trump’s predecessors took American taxpayer dollars to provide defense for these moochers. (Canada, one of our closest allies is one of the biggest abusers). Trump immediately declared that the American taxpayer would no longer be global patsies to those who refuse to pull their own weight. What sort of American could find fault with that strategy? I have never understood why President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is heralded as a hero for putting Ukraine first and Trump is vilified for putting America first.

We who voted for Trump are getting exactly what we voted for. He has slipped up a couple of times. Remember, it is always the person who attempts the most things who is most likely to make the occasional mistake. We are thankful that we were able to stop the incessant march toward socialism led by Progressive Left Democrats. I am confident that as Trump’s successes continue to pile up for the American people, traditional Democrats will grudgingly recognize we were correct. Until then, we must remain diligent and vote only for those politicians who supported the Trump agenda. Those who constantly voted against it are more interested in promoting themselves, than promoting the good of their constituents.
