There Are Only Two Genders. Two.

Title IX, when finally passed, was long overdue. It is a section of the Education Amendment to the Federal Civil Rights law passed in 1972. The law prohibited sex based discrimination in any school, or other education program, that receives federal funding. What it did was mandate schools to offer an equal number of sports teams for boys and girls. If, hypothetically, a local high school offered 10 sports teams for boys, they must now offer 10 sports teams for girls. If, for budgetary reasons, the school couldn’t afford to offer 20 teams they could reduce that to some lower number. As long as the total consists of an equal number for girls, as it does for boys, the school would be in compliance. You can’t argue that Title IX, as intended, was a real boon to those females who desired to compete in sports. It started the pendulum swinging back toward fairness.

For the better part of 30 years Title IX was successful in leveling the playing field for untold millions of girls and young women. Like many other well intentioned laws, its language has been perverted by those to whom it never pertained. In fact, the perversion of its language is now putting the very people it was meant to help at a disadvantage. Title IX specifically prohibited “sex” discrimination. Nowhere in the legislation did it mention gender discrimination, forget gender identity.

Thanks to misinterpretations by ideological political leaders, girls and young women are being forced to forfeit their privacy, their opportunity to compete on sports teams, even their safety. All of this to accommodate boys and young men who “identify” as female. On his first day in office, President Biden signed an executive order “preventing and combating discrimination on the basis of gender identity, or sexual orientation.” The order went on to say, “Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.” That is nonsense! No child has been denied any of the above. Biden’s ill-informed edict immediately removed actual female’s right to privacy in those places, specifically locker/shower rooms, that were traditionally havens of privacy. Are you good with teenage boys dressing/undressing with your teenage girls? Every boy who wins a spot on a girl’s sports team does so by taking the spot from a girl who worked hard to earn that spot. Forcing girls to compete with boys will reduce the amount of success, and self esteem building, that girls have a right to enjoy. It’s a fact that boys are bigger, stronger, and faster, than girls. More boys entering female sports increases the risk of injury for girls. These are things that should concern everyone, especially parents and grandparents.

In 2018, and 2019 two boys, who identify as girls in Connecticut, erased a bunch of girl’s state track records previously held by actual girls. They finished 1st and 2nd in a couple of events. Their success ultimately meant that two girls did not qualify for an important New England regional event held in front of many college track coaches. Scholarships may have been at stake. In 2016 a boy took qualifying spots away from girls in two events in the state track meet in Alaska. In Texas a female, taking hormone treatments to become a male, easily defeated girls in the state wrestling meet. If boys had been taking the amount of testosterone she was taking they would surely have been disqualified. At the University of Pennsylvania we witnessed the most recent example of unfair competition. Earlier this month a male swimmer, who identified as a female, was allowed to swim for the U of Penn women’s team. He has already set records in the 200, 500, and 1600, meter freestyle. In the 1600 freestyle he finished 38 seconds ahead of second place! Sounds fair. He is just seconds away from breaking female Olympic records in a couple of these events. For those apologists who still insist the male vs. female difference isn’t that great I refer you to a male who identified as a female, and played on a female junior college basketball team in 2012-13 in California. He was 6’6″ tall and weighed 220 pounds. He was nearly a foot taller than his next tallest teammate. In his final year he was voted first team all conference. He averaged 18 points, and 20 rebounds a game. You are thinking big deal, he should dominate. I left off one important statistic. He was 52 years old! Mixing males and females in school sports is hazardous. Wait until a 6′, 190 pound, 11th grade male stands in the batter’s box in front of your 5’5″, 130 pound sophomore daughter who is the pitcher. This is not only not fair, it is potentially dangerous. In a May 2021 Gallup Poll 62% of Americans said trans athletes should compete in sports that correspond to their genders at birth. The American people know this political correctness is crazy. Why don’t our elected representatives? Congress, and state legislatures, will fall all over themselves passing laws AFTER a young girl gets hurt, or worse.

The Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act, was passed in April of this year. It is but one of a myriad of idiotic laws passed in California. This law says that a male prisoner who identifies as something other than male must be housed at a correctional facility designated for men, or women, based on the individuals preference. The law applies regardless to anatomy. When signing the bill Governor Newsom said, ” . . . our march toward equality takes an additional step forward.” Newsom might be handsome, rich, well dressed, and well spoken. His actions prove he is a complete moron. He gets an A for style, an F- on substance. You don’t need any more info to know the outcome of this foolishness. So far over 261 male California inmates have suddenly decided they are women. All but 6 of them have requested to be moved to women’s facilities. Really? There are reports of inmates making false claims. Go on. There are reports that some female prisoners are afraid. Some? To imprison criminal males with criminal females meets, in my opinion, the classic definition of cruel and unusual punishment.

Female high school students are afraid to make their feelings known about trans females participating in female sports. Many would only speak anonymously. They were afraid of being ridiculed or bullied if they spoke out. They feared their comments could hurt their chances of getting into the college of their choice. Others refused to comment at all until they got out of school. What brought us to the point where high school girls find themselves afraid that talking about controversial issues might keep them out of the schools that were established to discuss controversial issues? This is a real tragedy.

Clearly the transgender movement is careening out of control. Those on the Left continue to profess their allegiance to following the science. Yet they completely ignore the most basic, immutable, fact. There are only two sexes. That many Left wing universities offer double digit gender option boxes on their application forms is irrelevant. There’s only two. It just proves their lack of courage. As near as I can tell there are between 25 and 30 states that have passed, or are in the process of passing, legislation to keep boys out of girls locker/shower rooms, and off their athletic teams. At the bottom of this post you will find a the template of a letter that I prepared that can be sent to elected representatives in your state. You will need to google your specific state to get the status of legislation. Just google (your state) legislation to keep boys off of girls sports teams. If your state has passed it, Hooray! If not you need to send a letter to your state senator, state representative, and governor. U.S. Senator Mike Lee introduced a bill in February titled: The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. There are 13 cosponsors, all are Republicans. It appears there are few political heroes. Zero Democrats. We need to support this bill. I produced a second letter, below, to be sent to Senators. It will be up to parents and other loved ones to unite and put an end to all of this nonsense. Your K-12 children have no voice. They depend on us.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. If you found it interesting please tell your friends. Bob Letter one: send to your state legislators and governor. Representative, Senator, Governor, We are writing to ask you to support the pending bill #_____ that will prohibit biological males from competing on sports teams designated for biological females. When a male takes a spot on a female team, a female loses the opportunity to participate on that team. We don’t think that is fair. More concerning is the additional chance of injury that females face when participating with bigger, stronger, and faster males. For these reasons we are asking you to support pending bill #____. We’ll be following your vote. We are voters, Your signature

Letter two: send to your 2 U.S. Senators Senator _________, In February of 2021, Senator Mike Lee introduced a bill titled: The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. We are disappointed we didn’t see your name on the list of co-sponsors. Does that indicate a lack of concern for young women? This bill will protect our girls and young women from having to compete against bigger, stronger, and faster, boys and young men. The bill will insure that females continue to have the same opportunities to compete in sports as males. We are equally concerned about the potential for injury that females incur when forced to compete with males. We are asking you to support this important bill. We’ll be watching your vote. We are voters, Your signature

      Linda,
I agree with you. We must identify those parents who are bravely speaking their minds at board meetings, and support them any way we can. Sadly, most of what I wrote about can only be addressed in elections. We must get rid of politicians who do not speak out loud and clear against growing government. We must look for good candidates to run against incumbents. We must take the time to explain to our children and grandchildren the evils of socialism. We have neglected our civic responsibilities for a long time. It will take a long time to right the ship. Please continue to follow my blogs, and tell your friends about it. I will be doing a series of speeches beginning in April of 2022. FB friends will know the dates well in advance. We can do this. Thanks for your comments. Bob
