Why can’t they see what is causing their pain? It is as plain as the nose on their faces. Examples are everywhere. Were they blind to what happened to Budweiser? Bud put a Harvard educated Californian whose strength(?) was in diversity and inclusivity in charge of marketing. She was too sophisticated to suffer the red neck demographic that was Bud Lite’s loyal customer base. Her decision to highlight a weirdo in commercials ultimately drove the #1 beer brand in America into a suicidal deathroll.

Or they might have noticed the freefall of the Target brand, one of America’s favorite stores. It started back in 2016 when the company stated its policy would allow men who identify as women to use the restrooms and dressing rooms designated for women. Customers left in droves. Then in 2023, the company decided to promote clothing designed specifically for the transgender community, like “tuck friendly” swimsuits in their retail stores. Customers fled. Not happy with just pissing off the majority of Americans, CEO Brian Cornell recently announced the company would back away from its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, initiatives. That pissed off the Left. A couple of weeks ago, Mr. Cornell resigned as CEO, effective 2/1/2026.

There are other examples of CEOs who made reckless decisions that harmed their brand. (The recent decisions at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store restaurant comes to mind). But this blog is about the ego and avarice of the Democrat Party being led by the Progressive Left (PL), not the stupidity and shortsightedness of corporate CEOs. While similar, there are differences. A corporation’s loss of customers is immediately visible and can be measured by their stock price. A political party’s loss of voters is not immediate and can only be measured at the ballot box every couple of years.

Over the years I have repeatedly written about the difference in the PL and traditional Liberals. The leaders of the PL are the woke CEOs in this discussion. They are certain that they know more about what is good for us than we do. But their egos take them even farther. They insist that the proletariat needs intellectuals to make their decisions for them, and when those decisions are made, the people must blindly follow. They don’t ask what we want. They rely on their self-proclaimed super intelligence to mandate what our needs are and how they will provide those needs. Will traditional liberals ever split away from the PL’s dictates and decide that enough is enough? Will they vote with their feet like customers did with Budweiser, Target, etc.?

The PL initially told us that the border was secure. When it became clear they were lying, they told us that the only way to secure our porous southern border was for Congress to pass legislation. They assured us it was not within the authority of the President to lock it down. More laws heaped on already existing laws means more power for the government. Just what we need, more laws for the government to ignore. Americans of every political persuasion were begging for this problem to be solved. In less than a month President Trump sealed a border that was the point of entry for millions of illegal immigrants, mountains of deadly drugs, and the horrific sex trafficking of children. We didn’t need new laws. We needed new leadership. We are all safer today as more than 2 million illegals have gone home, either through self-deportation or the forced deportation, or incarceration, of criminal illegals.

The majority of we little people are against defunding the police in the face of rising crime in our cities. “Blue” cities and states deny they have a crime problem. After PLs changed the definition of the words violent, and crime, and stopped prosecuting people who committed crimes their data suggested there was no problem. Of course, the people most negatively affected by crime knew better. The PL is actually suing to keep additional law enforcement out of our cities. They are fighting against President Trump harder than they are fighting to protect their citizens against crime. They seem willing to sacrifice the safety of their citizens to protect the criminal element and to hurt the President.

Nearly all of us want males excluded from the dressing/locker rooms designated for females and from participating on female sports teams. The PL intelligentsia ignore us and label us homophobic bigots for trying to protect our female family members. Nearly every American understands it is barbaric to perform permanent life altering sex change operations on minor children. Not the PL. They take an almost unfathomably hypocritical position regarding minor children. Think about this for a minute. On the one hand, the PL pounds the table demanding no jail time for minors who commit criminal acts. They insist that youths, because of their age, can’t be fully aware of the consequences of their actions. On the other hand, they insist that minor children are sufficiently developed to understand the long-term irreversible ramifications that sex change operations present for the rest of their lives. Neither position is defensible. Taken together they are ludicrous.

The PL has increasingly ignored the desires of the American people. Their outsized egos, insatiable thirst for power, and inability to tell the truth, is finally beginning to cost them votes. The PLs extreme political positions, coupled with their desire to damage President Trump, which by extension means damaging America and the American people, is causing angst for traditional Liberals, Independents, and others. It appears that reasonable people who love their country have finally had enough. According to a recent New York Times analysis of data gathered by the L2 tracking firm, Dems. are hemorrhaging voters. From 2020 to 2024, the report says that 2.1 million registered voters left the Democrat Party. That data is taken from the 30 states that track such information. The total number is almost assuredly greater if we had data from the other 20 states. During that same period, Republicans saw an increase of 2.4 million new registrations. In 2024, for the first time in 6 years, Republicans have registered more new voters than Dems. I don’t remember a time when I have heard so many prior Democrats say: “I didn’t leave the Democrat Party, the Democrat Party left me.”

In the critical “swing states” of Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, there was an erosion of the Dems. lead in registered voters. The news gets even worse for Dems. Even in the dark “blue” states of California and New York Dems. lost registered voters from 2020-24. California lost 680,000 and New York lost 360,000. Still the PL marches on taking ever more unpopular positions. They are unable, or unwilling, to face the facts. They continue to move ever closer to socialism, to the point their base is no longer comfortable following them. They insist they have a problem with messaging. While most people capable of critical thinking recognize they have a problem with the message, not the messaging. Increasingly, American patriots are not buying what they are selling.

In our Republic, every American citizen has a RESPONSIBILITY to make well informed, educated, decisions before they vote. Are you against males participating in female sports and using dressing facilities designated for females? If so, it is irresponsible for you to vote for a candidate who favors such behavior. If you are against those who are here illegally receiving your tax dollars in the form of free phones, free housing, free healthcare, free education, free food, etc., it is irresponsible for you to vote for those who support the giveaways. You are complicit in the mutilation of minor children who undergo sex change operations if you voted for a politician who helped pass legislation allowing it. If we don’t know how our representatives voted on these, and countless other, important issues, it is our fault. We don’t get a pass by claiming ignorance. How elected representatives vote is information that is readily available to all of us with a couple of clicks on our computers or smartphones. We have a RESPONSIBILITY to know how our representatives voted. We must all get more involved in the operation of our country.
