No King? No s**t! The confused people who participated in the “No Kings Day” protests were 249 years late. Back in 1776 we overthrew the last Monarch that would ever have an impact on our country. If you ignore Executive Orders and Executive Actions, which all recent Presidents have used, it is difficult to find anything that Trump has done that even resembles the actions of a King. One is left to ask the obvious question, are the “No King’s Day” protestors ignorant, stupid, or some combination thereof? I mean get real. If Trump were a King, would he have allowed the misguided left-wing sheep to march and protest against him? Not likely.
A King would not have allowed dissenters to publicly protest his policies. (If you are allowed to protest against your leader it’s a safe bet he isn’t a King or a dictator). He would have arrested the protestors and taken control of the airwaves and social media to direct the narrative in support of his policies. Kind of like the Democrat model used approaching the 2020 presidential election. The lapdog mainstream media corroborated their lies. Social media silenced anyone who dared speak against the directives of government agencies. Those, ladies and gentlemen, are the actions taken by a Monarch/dictator.
No respectable King would allow lower court judges to halt the policies he believes will Make America Great Again? He would simply dissolve the lower courts and move forward with his agenda. That would seem to be a simple remedy as lower courts were not created by our Constitution. He would ignore the Supreme Court and brag that he found a way to get around their rulings. That would be reminiscent of President Biden after the SCOTUS told him to cease and desist with his cancelation of student debt. Biden stood at the dais and bragged that he would continue with this unconstitutional policy. That was clearly Kinglike.
No real King would waste weeks even months dealing with a sclerotic Congress more interested in feathering their own nests than improving the lives of their constituents. He would simply wave his royal scepter and be done with them. Would he allow the press/media to continually lie about and deride his every statement? Of course not. He would use his limitless power to take control of all media, mainstream and social, and direct them to deliver his message. Trump could, once again, follow the blueprint used successfully by his Democrat predecessors. He hasn’t.
We witnessed real examples of a King/dictator and his little local Kinglets at work during the COVID pandemic. There was a dearth of protestors when the King and his minions kept schools, churches, and businesses closed long after the science said it was necessary. Law enforcement officers, fire fighters, nurses, and others lost their jobs when they refused to take an experimental vaccine. The King told us we could not congregate in groups larger than 10 people. Kinglets in some states opened up a snitch line and encouraged people to report their neighbors if they didn’t obey these edicts. They sent in SWAT teams to arrest the miscreants. Today, the same Kinglets order police to “stand down” while criminals riot, burn, and loot. The King even went so far as to FORCE us to allow our loved ones to die alone in nursing homes and hospitals. These are the actions taken by Kings/dictators. Pity that some can’t/won’t recognize the difference.
Make no mistake about it, the responsibility for law enforcement lays, first, at the hands of local and state officials. But when those official’s obvious ineptitude threatens the safety of citizens, it becomes the responsibility of the federal government to step in. In the case of the California riots it was a combination of ineptitude and an inexplicable desire to protect criminal illegal aliens before protecting American citizens that precipitated Trump’s action. I have no idea if his deployment of the National Guard and Marines is legal. The Courts will sort that out in the coming weeks. The Courts decision doesn’t matter. True leaders are those with the courage to do what is right, even if it means getting sued, or is unpopular. I do know that if I were a law-abiding citizen afraid to leave my home, or a business owner worried that my livelihood was at risk of being destroyed, I’d be appreciative of Trump’s efforts to quell the riots. While law enforcement agencies are rounding up criminal illegals, it will be up to the FBI to investigate and ferret out those who are responsible for funding them and their destructive riots.
I can’t imagine a hate so visceral that it could cause a person to support the terrorizing of fellow Americans while protecting foreign criminals from arrest and deportation. It is a blind hate that causes people to vehemently protest against a mythical King. It leads me to wonder if they would be protesting if the illegal alien rapists, murderers, and child molesters, were terrorizing their neighborhoods? It seems that that amount of hate must be terribly unhealthy.
That you were conned by the leaders of this movement and stood by the side of the road waving inane signs decrying the presence of a nonexistent King doesn’t make you stupid. (It is, however, an indicator). If, after reading this blog you still think Trump is a King, or is acting like a King, you are at least unstable. It seems that your actions answer the question I posed in the first paragraph. Are the “No Kings Day” protestors ignorant, stupid, or a combination thereof? Now that you have read the information provided above, ignorance is no longer an option.
I can envision Trump making a side bet with his Cabinet members a couple of weeks ago. He’d quip, I’ll bet I can get Democrats to call me King on my birthday. (Trump’s birthday coincided with the “No Kings Day” protests). Just a thought. That aside, in true Trumpian fashion, the day after the “No Kings Day” protests, he posted the following: “A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL No Kings Day protestors yesterday! I was very concerned a King was trying to take my place, but thanks to your tireless efforts, I am STILL YOUR PRESIDENT! Great job all!!!” After reading his post, I thought I heard the bombs exploding in Iran. I was mistaken. The sound I was hearing was that of the heads of the misguided protestors exploding in frustration. Well done Mr. President.
Thank you for taking the time to read my latest thoughts. I hope you found them informative. Bob
It is sad to see so many misguided people with nothing better to do than join parades based on hate for a President trying to clean up such a mess that was left from previous administrations from Clinton to Biden, including every President in between.
Sandra,
I have no problem with people who have opinions that differ from mine. I struggle mightily with those who have opinions that are fed to them by the mainstream media and are not grounded in reality. Most of those who participated in the No Kings Day protests fall into that category. Bob
Now it is time to “take on the Congress, whom you call sclerotic! The game of politics had to be stopped, and positive common sense legislation instead of “pork” needs to be the order of the day
Frank,
I totally agree with you. I’m not sure how to make that happen. I believe that term limits would be a good start, but I don’t think there is a prayer they will ever happen. Even though something like 85% of Americans are in favor of term limits it is asking too much to think that members of Congress would vote themselves out of a job. We just need to keep chipping away. Bob
Good one 🇺🇸
Conny,
Thank you. Bob
Right on, as usual Bob
