America has elected a champion! After years of presidential apologies and appeasement we finally have a President who is standing up for the American people. He is unabashedly promoting the USA as the leader of the free world. He is standing for those of us who believe the leader of our country should be promoting a policy of “America First”. Much of what he is doing, or will do, is based on simple common sense.

Deaths from opioid overdoses have exceeded 100,000 Americans for each of the last couple of years. We know a couple of things to be true. 1. The CDC reported that in 2020, and 2021, opioid overdoses were the number one cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 and 45. 2. The raw materials necessary to manufacture opioids come from China, are manufactured in Mexico, and smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico and Canada. 3. The previous administration turned a blind eye to the carnage while enriching the Chinese Communist Party and the cartels in Mexico. 4. On Monday of this week, Trump put down the final markers that will drastically reduce the scourge that has shattered the lives of millions of Americans. He has done nothing that the previous President couldn’t have done. The borders are well on their way to being sealed.

Earlier this week the Trump administration shuttered the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and rolled it into the Dept. of State. Controversy began when senior officials at USAID refused to allow the DOGE team access to classified documents. The current debate revolves around whether the DOGE team had proper security clearance to access classified information. There has, thus far, been no debate as to whether the Agency was wasting taxpayer dollars. For decades, USAID has operated with little oversight. It has treated its $50 billion budget as a woke slush fund for promoting Progressive Liberal pet projects around the world. Who among us doesn’t support spending $20 million taxpayer dollars on developing a Sesame Street workshop in Iraq? Democrats are raging that Musk is not legitimate because nobody voted for him. Guess what, nobody voted for the director of USAID either. Nobody voted for Dr, Fauci and he shut down the entire country. The waste that DOGE unearthed at this Agency is exactly what the American people want it to do. This dark money would forever remain dark were it not for Trump and DOGE. Keep up the good work and happy hunting.

Trump promised to shrink the size of government. Toward that end, he just ordered federal employees to return to work at their offices or be fired. The unions representing these slackers screamed bloody murder. They seemed insulted to think they might have to return to work like the poor stiffs who pay their wages. (It appeared as an epiphany to these layabouts to hear the COVID crisis had ended). Then Trump resorted to his warm and fuzzy side. He offered about 2 million government employees a very generous buy out. Those who take the buyout will receive full pay and benefits until September. That is almost 8 months of pay for doing nothing. (Some have been practicing for the last 4 years). They have until today, 2/6, to take the deal. As of 2/4, 20,000 have accepted. You should expect the number to increase significantly as the deadline nears. As I have written many times, 10% of federal employees, minus the military, could leave tomorrow, and nobody would notice their absence. For our children’s future the size and scope of our federal government must be reduced. This is a great way to start the process.

Who would have thought it would take an Executive Order (EO) from the President of the United States to proclaim there are only 2 sexes? Yesterday, Trump made official what humans have known since the beginning of time. There are only 2 sexes. His EO precludes males from using bathrooms or locker rooms designated for females, and vice versa, in our schools. Females will no longer be forced to dress and undress in front of members of the opposite sex. Males will not be allowed to compete against females in school sports designated for women. Finally, females will have traditional “safe spaces” returned exclusively for their use. Females will no longer be forced to compete against bigger, faster, stronger, males. They will once again be able to strive for success on a level playing field. They will no longer be forced to risk severe injury in order to participate in sports. Thank you, Mr. President, for your quick action on this important issue.

Drill baby drill! The largest drivers of inflation in the U.S. are out of control government spending and rising energy prices. As mentioned above, Trump and his DOGE team are addressing the former. With his promise to drill baby drill, we will see lower oil prices resonating throughout the economy. Most of the products we use daily, or their packaging, are derivatives of petroleum. Lower gas prices at the pump will be the immediate result of increased domestic oil production. Lower natural gas prices will reduce utility prices in our homes, businesses, and factories. By the way, if utility prices don’t drop along with lower oil and natural gas prices, Americans will have a legitimate reason to decry price gouging. As we produce a surplus of Liquified Natural Gas we will again be able to supply our European allies with this cheap, clean, necessary, commodity. (The previous administration discontinued exporting it to Europe). Europeans will be able to forego the purchase of Russian energy. Such action would diminish the Russians ability to wage war in Ukraine, or anywhere else. Given the absence of unseen negative variables, later this year we should begin to see lower food prices. Farmers will harvest the first crops benefitting from lower input prices of diesel fuel and fertilizers since 2020. Prices will not return to their pre-COVID levels. But we have every right to expect store prices to abate from current levels.

Intelligent, patriotic, Americans understand that a failing President will lead to difficult times for his citizens. One need only possess a 4-year memory to see the proof of that. But haters gonna hate. You might be surprised at the number of messages I have received asking, mockingly, about why prices haven’t gone down yet. Really? Trump is really good, but it will take him more than a couple of weeks to fix 4 years of Democrat blunders. People are asking, hey red states, who’s going to pick your fruits and vegetables now? Really? You think the murderers, rapists, and thieves, being deported came here to pick fruits? Panicked Democrat Senators are screaming that Musk doesn’t have the authority to shut down agencies, cut off funding, or fire government employees. True. He has done none of the above. He simply recommended that President Trump do so. Trump does have the authority. By the way, the Dem. Senators fighting to keep DOGE from auditing government books, hired 80,000 additional IRS agents to audit ours. Just saying. Taxpayers footing the bills have every right to find out where their money is being spent. And what the hell is wrong with these people? They are furious with those who identified waste, and attack those who found it. It is like they are pissed at the police for recovering their stolen goods. Those asking these ludicrous questions are people I know to be relatively intelligent. For those of us who believe in transparency in government, the last 3 weeks are the best we have seen in the last 4 years. Our government has taken on a life of its own. As it continues to grow, it consumes ever larger portions of our income. In doing so it removes more of our freedom. We understand you will make mistakes. But we voted for you expecting to see things broken in the D.C. swamp. Keep it up Mr. President. We’ve got your back.
